Who We Are

Vet Calls is run by Dr. Patrick Smith, a licensed mobile veterinarian with over 20 years of experience in the field. Dr. Smith and our mobile veterinary team offer quality pet care services to residents of Santa Maria and the Five Cities area. Our mobile unit provides pets with a stress-free veterinary experience as they can often be treated from the comfort of their own home. You’ll find our house-call visits a convenient and effective manner of addressing your pet’s health care needs.

Services

Our team can be reached by phone or online to schedule house call visits for your pet. We treat all kinds of animals ranging from dogs and cats to pocket pets, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and farm animals. Our services include:

Preventive Care/Wellness Exams – Preventive care is the backbone of your pet’s wellness program as it helps keep your pet in good health. Wellness exams, parasite control, dermatology care, nutritional counseling, and microchipping are all a part of preventive care.

Vaccinations – Vaccinations protect your pet against contagious diseases. If your pet is due for booster shots, we’ll update its vaccines during a wellness exam visit.

Dental Care – Our mobile veterinarian offers dental care services to protect your pet's oral health. We’re fully equipped to perform dental exams, cleanings, tooth extraction, and other forms of dental care from our mobile clinic.

Medical Care – Our mobile unit has the resources to test and diagnose your pet for common problems as heartworm, allergies, pancreatitis, anemia, and other health issues. This eliminates the stress of having to take your pet to an animal hospital for diagnosis and treatment.

Urgent/Emergency Care – In the event of emergencies, contact our emergency vet for prompt, effective diagnosis and treatment of your pet’s condition.
