Experience compassion, caring, more experience, and the highest
standards of any mobile veterinary clinic in the
Middle Georgia area. Combine this with 31
years of veterinary practice experience in the
Middle Georgia area, and you come up with a
winning team for your pets.
Dr.
Lindsey V. Heard, a Macon native and graduate of
Lanier High School, has practiced
on small animals in the Middle Georgia area
since his graduation from the University of
Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1975.
In
1978, Dr. Heard founded Wesleyan Animal Hospital
on Forsyth Road and ran a successful veterinary
practice there until 1990 when he decided to try
some different aspects of practice.
During the past 10 years, Dr. Heard has enjoyed
a variety of positions including co-founder of
Animal Emergency Care, Inc., practice associate
with several regional small animal practices,
Chief of Staff at Banfield©, the pet hospital
located in the Macon PetSmart store, and Chief
clinician at the U.S. Army Veterinary Services
at Warner Robins, AFB.
All
of these experiences, in various clinical
settings, resulted in Dr. Heard deciding, in the
fall of 2001, to pursue a dream he had harbored
since 1990-to provide quality, affordable small
animal care directly to the client and their
pet. The care would be provided in an
atmosphere which was non-stressful to client and
pet thereby eliminating many of the negative
aspects of a free standing hospital where
clients are forced to wait in the lobby or exam
room for long periods of time, pets are exposed
to other animals who are ill or suffer from
parasitic disease, and fees are excessive for
the service provided.
For
fun, Dr. Heard enjoys scuba diving, walking on
the beach, playing the guitar, yard work, and
playing around on the computer. Dr. Heard is
currently writing music and lyrics, and has
created a CD with original Contemporary
Christian music.
Recently, Dr. Heard has become actively involved
in a new project promoting and using a product
known as helloWorld©
which allows you to send video emails, have
video chat sessions with up to four other people
at one time-in real time, any where in the
world. Produce streaming video broadcasts which
are similar to having your own television
station which is broadcast live, anywhere or
everywhere in the world.
Dr.
Heard sincerely hopes that you will try this
new, state of the art, practice the next time
your best friend needs any type of veterinary
medical care. We are sure that you, and your
pet, will have your best experience with
veterinary medicine less the hassle of a regular
office visit.
